Thanks for stopping by to learn about me.
I work, write and live in Northeast Ohio but I love to travel — both to revisit favorite places and discover new ones.
I’m obsessed with my family, my four furbabies and beautiful writing.
My favorite indulgences include strong coffee, dark chocolate and good wine.
I run on Solar Power and Caffeine.
The Professional Stuff
I am an accredited public relations practitioner (APR) and award-winning writer who has worked with beloved brands from Nabisco, Jeep and Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, to the American Cancer Society and 1% for the Planet. In addition to writing for clients, I have written for a number of online and printed publications.
I became an entrepreneur because I had a vision for a company that could do well by doing good. I founded Prosper for Purpose, my PR, branding and digital communications firm in January 2013. My team and I help clients achieve social and/or environmental impact.
I started this site because I want to document my journey as an over 50 entrepreneur in the hope that my experiences will inspire other women, wherever they are in their professional journeys, to realize it is never too late to live the life you imagine.
Being an entrepreneur is hard, and it can be very lonely. I hope I can make the experience less of both of those things for you. If I can do this, so can you.
The Personal Stuff
I live in an historic home with my artist husband, our two dogs and two cats. I have a much-neglected vintage shop, Storied Vintage, where I blended my passion for vintage fashion with my love of storytelling.
I read obsessively. I read for knowledge and I read for stories. I believe beauty and truth exist in language. I love words and I believe we define our world through the words that we choose.
Of all the things I have done in my life, I am most proud of the two amazing women I raised. I give them all the credit for who they are. Being their mom was the single most important, fulfilling, expansive, life-changing, difficult and yet wonderful role I’ve ever had.
